my christmas party stay at steamboat springs surpassed all expectations. steamboat mountain lodge was truly a warm, welcoming haven with rustic charm and friendly staff. the hot tub by the creek was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, and the nearby dining options were a gastronomic delight. excellent pillows, wonderful hot tub, and great value!

The hotel has clean rooms, friendly staff, and top-notch facilities for a great price. The young man from Jamaica at the front desk was particularly delightful, offering funny and helpful service. The lobby has a nice rustic feel, and the room was spacious with ample space to move around. Plus, the hotel offers a value continental breakfast in the morning and has handicap rooms available.
Felt very homey, no complaints.

It was inexpensive and clean - good for our purposes.
The staff was pretty much not there. The front desk was closed for the duration of our stay.

The two women that worked at the front desk were wonderful! If I owned a hotel, I would hire them in a split second!! I realized that every time I spoke with either one, I had a big smile on my face. Thank you for the totally easy weekend.

We were pleasantly surprised by the value we got for our money at this lodge. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The location was perfect for our trip and the staff treated us with great hospitality.
The breakfast option could use some improvement. While there was a waffle machine, we wished there were more choices like eggs or a wider selection of cereal.

Staff was excellent. Room was clean and roomy. Nice facility and breakfast room. Great budget freindly location. 10 minutes from door to Gondola.
Hot tub closes too early. Breakfast needs more breakfast items to be called "breakfast". More accurate to call it continental breakfast. Good - but not breakfast.

It is off the beaten path, which is good for quiet, but bad because you have to drive into town for dinner and entertainment. It is a very simple place, but the rooms and hot tub were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice place for being affordable.

The value for money at this hotel was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great view as requested. The staff, especially the young man from Jamaica at the front desk, were friendly, helpful, and professional.
The only thing that could make the breakfast better is if there were more options available.

A reasonable location, just a mile from the gondola. As other reviewers have mentioned, "hidden" behind the steamboat hotel, so you have to know what you are looking for. The room was huge, clean, and an excellent value for the money. The included breakfast was ok- self-made waffles, cold cereals, toast, and cereals
-Room had a slightly musty smell (I suspect from the carpets getting repeatedly wet from ski equipment stored inside over the night), but was clean.

That it was cheap and everyone was really nice, plus you got a free bus to the slopes which was awsome!!

The bathroom was large and clean, with an excellent shower in the bath. The room was very clean, and the front desk personnel were very helpful. The convenient parking close to the side door was a plus. Despite having to cut our stay short due to an expected second snow storm, the hotel arranged for a credit for the unused night.
Felt warm, nothing to complain about.

large clean room; new carpeting; ok beds; almost nobody else in building :-) hot hot tub
meager breakfast: instant oatmeal, fruit loops??, stale muffins, weak bad coffee

The hotel was in great shape and a lot of daily effort to keep it clean and well kept was obvious throughout our stay

We had a great stay at a cozy lodge with a beautiful view. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The breakfast was good and the coffee was surprisingly enjoyable. The off-season price was very reasonable. Despite a few minor inconveniences, overall I will recommend this hotel.

It was very quiet. Away from highway. Good value. Clean and comfortable.
The lamp shade was coming apart. The shower bath mat was frayed around the edges.
